nss could you please go to a terminal and run the program "alsamixer". This will start a program that will show you the channel status for every input and output channel (including separate headphone and laptop speakers). Since they are controlled as separate channels, the speaker one could be turned down or muted while the headphone one is fine. Could you please check the levels?
You can use the arrow keys to navigate and adjust the volume and the "m" key to toggle mute. Also could you please provide more information around your sound card? Please goto System -> Administration -> System Testing and run at least the sound test. Once that is complete could you attach the report to this bug? -- laptop speakers doesn't work https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/581088 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Registry Administrators, which is the registrant for ALSA driver. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~registry Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~registry More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
