** Description changed: Binary package hint: overgod Overgod uses Allegro. In Hardy it needs liballegro4.2-plugin-jack installed and jackd running in order to get sounds. In Intrepid I can't get sounds working but I haven't performed any PulseAudio configuring yet so that may be the problem. Overgod is version 1.0-1ubuntu2 on both Hardy and Intrepid. + + WORKAROUND: + If the app in questions gives this error: + "ALSA lib rawmidi_hw.c:233:(snd_rawmidi_hw_open) open /dev/snd/midiC0D0 failed: No such file or directory" + then try this: + `sudo modprobe snd_virmidi` + then go to your /dev/snd directory and create a symlink from one of your midiCXDX files to midiC0D0 + For me: `cd /dev/snd && sudo ln -s midiC2D0 midiC0D0`
