Probably too early to tell, but I'd say he was about the same as Arnie
acting-wise.  His role in Gladiator was that of the sword trainer (as
well as fellow slave) for the gladiator school Crowe's character Maximus
ends up in.  He eventually dies trying to cover for M's escape.  He
doesn't have too many lines, but he delivers them well enough...
