if i were you, i'd use the 2.4.7 kernel, it is MUCH MUCH better than 2.4.5 in 
memorymanagement and such. i think 2.4.7 is the first 2.4.x kernel which is 
ready and kinda stable enough for production systems... well, it is for me.
