debugreiserfs does not change the data, just extract and pack the metadata,
which we unpack to the file. Then you run fsck on the file, what does not
change the partition also. If this finishes w/out any problem you can even
losetup /dev/loop0 somefile-on-non-reiserfs
mount /dev/loop0 /mnt-point
and take a look at what was recovered. If result satisfies you, you can run
it at your partition, it should work in the same way. If not, write me about
your problems.
