No, I can't but I also don't use Amarok. I can't stand its GUI.

I don't care about the technical implementation. Okular has the navigation pane
on the
left side, just like Juk, Dolphin, KMail, ...
Muscle memory cares about where the widgets are located not whether they are
implemented
as "strange bar" or as panel.

I simply won't use a browser that locates the tool bar below the tabs. If that
tab
placement is optional: Fine.

Just because other apps have faults, it's IMO still no excuse to either repeat
their
faults or -- even worse -- come up with a new set of faults.

With it you have tabs on top -- consistent across the whole workspace.

I get the impression you want Rekonq to be a Chrome clone with a worse
rendering engine.

Sure you can. I'm just saying that I'm not bound to design decisions and if I
feel that
some application's GUI works against me, I'll look for alternatives.

It's not blackmailing. I am very aware that I am not the center of the
universe. You asked
for our opinions and it's a plain fact that tabs on top are a dealbreaker for
me.
If you ask questions, be prepared for answers you may not like instead of
threatening
people who give you honest answers.
