9600 baud is not a goal for X, as far as I'm concerned.
My point is really that there are cellular technologies to
be deployed over the next couple years that are more in the
30-50k bits/second range, where it is feasible.
And I already run X on my handheld (which can take cellphone
modems). So this is not all handwaving.
