LCDs natively have (apparently) an odd S-curve gamma function, but it seems standard practice to ship them configured such that they mimic a gamma response of 2.2. You likely don't need to configure much in the first place, but I recommend comparing what you see with some of the charts. Resolution should not be an issue unless your notebook is doing some weird scaling. Well, speaking of LCD resolutions, at OLS they had some flat panels which were running in a scaling mode, that is, they were run at 1024x768 and scaled it up to their native resolution of 1280x1024. Make sure you're at the native resolution for your LCD, otherwise these charts will not produce the desired effect. -- Billy Biggs [EMAIL PROTECTED] _______________________________________________ Render mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://XFree86.Org/mailman/listinfo/render
