I would say they are similar. But GE made there product more field
serviceable. Here are some examples.

Order micor with single channel. Try to upgrade to talk around (second
channel) better order new head and control cable.

On mastrII just put a channel switch in head all cables minimum support two
channels.

want to go to 8 channels?

micor order doghouse for back of radio and cable kit.

mastrII put pins in for Icoms radio has spots for 8 icoms. and get new
cable.

move to ham band?

micor mod mod mod

mastrII generally will go with little.

ok so that should not be on the list but has been my experience.

Yes the mastrII was meant to compete with the micor, and it may have been
inspired by it, with improvements, but it is hardly a copy. If it were big M
would have owned GE after the lawyers were done.

Similarities in Mobiles:
Control Head.
PL (Channel Guard).
RF Power Output Options (Like 110 watts).
AF Power Output (10 watts)
Channelized Crystal Elements.
5 Pole HR in a casting that is not soldered to the PC board.
Dual Hysteresis Squelch.
Single Conversion Receiver, with 11 meg I-F frequency.
Same number of I-F poles.
Stable RF/AF circuitry operates on 10 volts (9.6 on the Micor)
PA Protection (VSWR).
Receiver Sensitivity.
Preamp is an option.
Frequency Ranges (Like 150.8 mc.)
Size.
Weight.

Gee, there are hardly any similarities now that I look at it.....
Get real......
