That would be a sort of tough one to do But i have done this with a set of repeater of my own.
what I did was allow the MAIN repeater ( if power failed) is have battery back up on the controller and uhf link radio so when the power failed a rely would kick out on the 120v side and when not energized close the contact to recall a macro or DTMF string to be sent out the link radio to turn on the AUX repeater listening to the link from the MAIN that would respond to the command from the main and turn the repetaer on. and when the power was restored it send a different string or macro commands to turn the AUX repeater OFF.. this only worked out good due to the face that the power to both places were on a difference service.. the main is in the county and the AUX repeater is in the city..... but on the AUX controller u will have to be able to accept DTMF commands from the link radio hope that this would help some ... You could also use a good switching circuit a couple of transistor and resistor on the power line to take a analog input on the main controller hi or low depending on your controller to take place of the relay Good luck Brent http://www.qsl.net/kf4tnp ----- Original Message ----- From: "nfd440" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, January 15, 2004 11:13 AM Subject: [Repeater-Builder] Backup Repeater System > We have a MTR 2000 Primary Repeater at one location. and we are > looking to put in a second backup repeater at another location.
