I worked on about 20 or so magiore repeaters for friends before they knew any better, new and old designs over the years and here is what i found. Very cheap low specs components used not very well design equipment, the squelch on the receiver sucked sometimes it would open up and there was no audio, there's practically no front end on the receivers. The transmitters were very wide spur all over and noisy, not very stable would move up to 5kc sometimes. Look like they were built in somebody's garage, very touchy to align. This is just My opinion on their equipment i don,t have nothing against them i just serviced some of their equipment over the years for hams... must be because i grew up working with Bat Wings and GE equipment.
