If you adjusted the PA down to a lower power, what says the O/P "Z" is still
a perfect match for your duplexer?
I have seen solid state Power amps behave inefficiently at less output
power than they have been rated for, either being from less drive or from
"Tweeking" the tuning caps on the PA.
Just my humble 10 cents :-)
