Thanks for the offer, John. I have no idea how one of these things works so
I'm at a major disadvantage right off the bat. In looking at the unit, I
have easy access to one of the tubes but the other one(s) are inside a large
enclosure that houses the oscillator circuitry, I believe. Those will be
very difficult to access. It involves removal of a substantial portion of
the oscillator guts. According to the schematic, the tubes inside the
enclosure are 6DV6's and I don't have any in my stash. The other one, a
5156 I think, I do have. So I can change that one out but will have to work
a bit on the others.
