Actually I have several repeaters still as Mastr Pro's on 6 meters, 2 meters,
& UHF back in the states.  The receivers are very good at high RF sites (like
a lot of land mobile, TV, & FM broadcast).  On 2 meters & UHF, I always run a
ARR GaAsFET pre-amp on them.  If I didn't have TV channel 2 in Portland, I
would try running a pre-amp on 6 meters.

This is extremely COOL!  I am sitting outside the train station at Yokohama,
Japan; using my PDA to access an open 2.4 GHz network for
sending this e-mail.  Some of what I am seeing walk by me could almost make a
grown man cry!!
