I don't think the "R2" means anything.  I bought a WP-678 duplexer for a
GMRS station many years ago, and it was packed with an 8-page brochure
entitled, "Field Tuning Instructions for WP-678-2 and WP-665-R2 4-cavity
BpBr Circuit Duplexers."

The instructions are no different from any routine tuning procedure for
UHF pass/notch cavity duplexers.  Moreover, the WP-678-R2 is a standard
UHF four-cavity duplexer for a 5 MHz split.  Nothing special.
