Well depending on the Employer, the industry etc..  the group I belong to
your GROL ( Radar Endorse is a microwave endorsement I guess ) Extra Class
was great for Engineering Certification, but then you are Certified in that
area for 5 years

I am on to my next certification under the old rule was 1st. Class
RadioTelephone Requirement now just a certification test and you are mailed
after passing a card.

I guess the industry is doing that since the FCC is being refarmed in biz to
Auction Licenses, and whatever they can do to collect a buck for the
Government.  thats what it looks like to me from my point of view.
