There are a few articles on preamps at www.repeater-builder.com that are worth reading. Please look at the web page at <http://www.repeater-builder.com/rbtip/ant-sys-index.html> and review the "System Engineering" section. There is even an article titled "Using Preamps with repeaters... and why sometimes you wouldn't want to..." I really, really recommend that you read the article titled "RF Communications - A Non Technical Approach" My personal choice for preamps is AngleLinear. The company is owned by Chip Angle N6CA who is a well-known southern-california contester, and a 1200mhz enthusiast. His stuff is good enough for NASA, and priced right for hams. Check out www.anglelinear.com ...just a report by a very happy repeat customer. Mike WA6ILQ Yahoo!
