Guess it is time to wade into this discussion: 

  The two repeaters I have some say in around here use Sinclair 
 antennas - especially ordered and purchased for the frequencies 
 involved.  One cut to 147.36 MHz, is 6dB  ... and the other to 
 449.00 MHz is 10 dB.  

  In serious repeater use, I wouldn't do it any other way. 

  Both are fed with 7/8" Andrew Heliax.
