Makes a lot of sense, but the gentleman who has offered them to us is in the business.  We will be hanging our new repeater on a commercial tower he owns.  The unit is a base unit, is in working condition and he has offered to tune it and the duplexers we hope to obtain, for free.  Can't beat the price.  I am handicapped at this time as he is out of state for a few days and we haven't seen the equipment.  I believe I have the answer on the crystal units, however, as I'm told we can use the existing element, just replacing the crystal and getting it tuned and adjusted for the new crystal.  I guess we're down to getting the best possible offer on the duplexers.

Thanks very much for your response and thoughts

The Micor comes in mobile and base configurations with different flavors, like unified or non-unified chassis, duplex or non-duplex chassis and will require different levels of work to make them play well. All details,please...
