Gary,

The Telewave TWPC-1005-1 is a single 5" bandpass cavity filter that can
be tuned to pass signals in the 88-108 MHz band. Its primary
application is to clean up the off-air signal at a remote studio of an
FM Broadcast station, before feeding it to the station monitoring
equipment.

Since you stated that you're "having trouble with an FM broadcast
station," I don't see how this particular bandpass filter is going to
solve any problems with a Ham repeater- which I assume is the case. It
would be helpful if you stated what these problems are, and what
frequencies are involved.

If, for example, you have a 70cm Ham repeater that is being desensed by
the 4th or 5th harmonic of a nearby FM broadcast station, then what you
need is a bandpass cavity filter tuned to the input frequency of your
repeater. Just this past Thursday, I received a Telewave TWPC-4508-2
bandpass filter for my UHF repeater, which is co-located at a site which
also has a packet node at 438.950 MHz. This particular filter comprises
two 8" diameter cans mounted on a 5U rack panel. I ordered it tuned
with a 1.0 dB total insertion loss, since I am following it with a
GaAsFET preamplifier. I verified on a network analyzer that the
response skirts are steep enough that the packet frequency will not be a
problem. In fact, this filter also blocks numerous signals from nearby
pagers and Government radio systems.
