You mite also check your jumpers.
No LMR-400 or 9913 type coax
remember. RG-214/u or RG-142
or 1/25" or 1/2" super flex and so
on. Your feed line up to the antenna
should also be a Hard-line type of
coax. stare RF is a bad thing on any
repeater system.
Good luck

Hi Joe,

There is only crackle when receiving a signal, never on the repeater tail.

Might help to mention that I can listen directly to the receiver audio at the repeater and hear the following:

Receiver weak signal - Xmtr turned on - Crackle
Receiver weak signal - Xmtr turned off - No crackle
Receiver no signal (squelched) - Xmtr turned on - No crackle
Receiver no signal (squelched) - Xmtr turned off - No crackle

Do you hear the crackle during the entire repeater tail?  Or is it just
when the receiver COS is open?  What I am getting at is, is the receiver
hearing the crackling noise or is it something in the transmitter or PA
breaking down?  Just want to verify that it is antenna noise.
