[Repeater-Builder] FW: RC-85 My repeater won't repeat

Recently, BaykittyARC bought a used Icom RP1220. It had an RC-85 controller and otherwise original Icom equipment. After having Icom look over their stuff and check their stuff out, we started playing with it.   It took a few hours to get the controller command prefix set and after that we were able to get the repeater to respond to commands to set the courtesy beep and enable the phone patch and other commands, including the club call in morse and voice.   We can even get it to tell us that the Repeater is Enabled (or Disabled for that matter). The problem is that, the repeater doesn’t (repeat).   If I key-down, the busy light will come on, but not the transmit light nor the transmitter. When I drop the key, the transmit light does come on and announce the call or give the appropriate courtesy beep.   As I said, we have given it the command to enable the repeater and it responds saying it has, but it isn’t happening. Still the rest of the stuff seems to work.   I confess to being new to this and I am probably missing something really simple – any suggestions?   Don Morgan Baykitty ARC   Yahoo!
