Have an old Astron RS35A supply that I installed their OVP
circuit about a year ago as a safety measure. Been working fine until
now. Normal amp draw 20 amps. OVP circuit now trips easily. Checked
collector solder joints as WW8RR (I think) suggested, they are fine. No
load ripple about 150 mv and with a 20 amp load it jumps up to 150 mv
and looks like a half wave positive rectification pulse. Regulation
fine, don't get super hot, just has become very nervous about OVP
trip. Installed values for RX1 20 ohm and RX3 10K. They were vacant
prior to OVP trip problem. Any suggestions?
