Only the hot & cold end compensation (beyond where the crystal's
temperature coefficient inverts). That compensation is accomplished using
a temperature-dependent voltage generated by a 2C or 5C Icom (for Mastr
IIs) or a comp. circuit on the exciter board (Exec II & MVP) & varactors in
the ICOMs/xtal modules. There is also mid-range compensation, which is
done with temperature-compensating capacitors only (compensation line
voltage doesn't change). I believe ICM & Bomar only change these mid-range
capacitors.

Since my sites almost never get below freezing or above 134 F, I don't
worry about the hot & cold end comp.
