Yes, use an extreme example and you will need the best solution available.
It all depends what you are trying to do.
For example, I have 3 low-level UHF mitrek repeaters all using West Crystals.
These repeaters are not on inaccessible sites and they are easy to get to and
in a mostly room temperature environment. They do drift, but only a few
hundred hertz over 6 months.
