I am involved in planning a similar installation. The other problem is that
the base gets extremely hot in the summertime. I was thinking of connecting a
clothes dryer vent hose to one of the unused entry ports that the coax usually
gets routed through the wall. (The flexible solid aluminum type, not the cheap
stuff). Then, air could be drawn from the outside to cool the cabinet and keep
the humid air out. I would control the fan in the cabinet with a thermostat to
keep it warm in the wintertime.
