Bob, Well, I guess the Rosetta Stone document is not as valuable as I had hoped. I went through it carefully, but found no statement of tone tolerance. However, I can infer from the printed frequencies- which are specified to 1/10 Hz- that the tolerance is +/- 0.1 Hz or better. That jibes with your assumption of well under one percent.
