Kevin,

Are you saying that there's more than one serial board?  The most recent
list of RC-96 options lists only the FC-1 as one that involves serial data.
The board that's plugged into the U-33 socket in my RC-96 measures 2.9 cm by
4.2 cm, and has one flying lead that is soldered to the rear of the CNTL RX
jack at Pin 6.  This pin is unassigned in the RC-96 manual.

If you have any information about this little board, please advise.

The FC-1 was not intended to be mounted inside the controller though....
