Sounds like inconsistency is their strong point.  With all the problems I 
had with the DR435, the one thing it was good at was staying on 
frequency.  Even when the radio got so hot to the touch you couldn't, the 
RX stayed dead-on freq.  Never seen any other amateur transceiver do 
that.  I think they used a real TXCO for the reference.
