This is getting about off-topic, but in 1977, a snow storm went through the great lakes and east. The only thing that differenciated this storm from a cat 1 or 2 hurricane was the temperature-in the single digit region. But 80+ mph winds, and snowfall with liquid content equivalent to hurricane rains, qualified it as a "white hurricane". There was a picture in several papers here showing a freeway overpass that was completely covered in snow-20-25' worth... Fun... Jim Barbour Yahoo!
