I'm thinking that "Eric B" doesn't know that this repeater has an internal controller. He probably saw the empty Molex connector on the back panel and made an assumption - and we all know what hapens when we ASSUME... hehehe

Well, that's pretty stupid. Why bother taking the board out? You don't
even need to open that section to interface a controller...worst case
you might pull the tone chip. Maybe.
