Duane, I have a fleet of CDM750 radios in service, and have never seen this symptom. I assume that when you say "...RICK out of the picture..." you mean that you have tried keying the radio into a dummy load with the RMN4025B hand microphone and on a known-good power supply, with nothing hooked to the rear accessory connector. If the radio still hangs, then there is a possibility that a post-PTT signaling mode has been inadvertently enabled.
These problems sometimes occur in modular repeaters, if double-shielded cables are not used, when the signal leakage keeps the repeater keyed. A poorly-regulated power supply is another suspect. Of course, there may be something wrong with the radio itself. I checked the SRN library, and found no mention of either the problem or of a mod. What firmware version is in the radio? You can see this on the "Radio Information" page only when you read the radio, not from an archive file. 73, Eric Lemmon WB6FLY -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Duane Hall Sent: Tuesday, March 21, 2006 1:22 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [Repeater-Builder] Motorola CDM750 Mobile Tx Hang Time I'm working on a CDR500 repeater, setup for unidirectional repeat. I'm trying to use it in a voted repeater system, but have run into a problem. The CDM mobile on the transmit side has nearly 1 second of hang time. Even with the RICK out of the picture, the transmitter is slow to drop. Is there a parameter in the radio programming that I'm missing? I messed with debounce and anything else I could find in the software with no luck. Is this the nature of the beast, or is there a hardware mod I need to do to the radio? Thanks in advance!
