Not sure if that is how the current 235-2 antenna harnesses are weatherproofed. I have seen many versions of the 3 and 4 way harness joints and intermod problems with that old style of antenna that it inspired Sinclair to develop a low intermod version of the 235-2 and other arrays that use a single impedance transformer where 50 ohms goes in and each antenna dipole is fed with its own 50 ohm cable and no more of those 3 and 4 way splices that go bad.
If you want a reliable antenna, weatherproof each of those splices and make sure all the dipoles are tight! It may still be prone to intermod generation though if you have bad frequencies (multiple transmitters going into it with receivers). Water in the harness is never good.
