The TMX-1000 (MRK-V) is basically the same as a UHF
Phoenix, and you can use that manual for the RF stuff.

Push the monitor button, or program the radio without CG.

We use them around here for RF links between repeaters
so I know they pass DTMF just fine. Does it only mute
during DTMF? Does it pass audio OK?

Out of the 15 or 20 of these radios that I have used, I've
never had to touch the IF section of the radio....you shouldn't
have to.

I have the complete service manual for the TMX-1000, but just
like normal GE stuff, is chock full of multi-page foldouts.
Copying or scanning would be a major PITA :)
If you want to get rid of some, give me a shout!
