cores are stuck, it's because they're cracked (assuming there isn't 
wax or similar material holding them in place). Unfortunately for 
you, Micors don't use such material so chances are the cores are cracked.

In which case, the only real solution is to carefully drill them out 
(CAREFULLY!) and replace them. I usually use a drill bit about 3/4 
the diameter of the form the slug is in. The drilling process 
relieves enough stress on the core that it usually shatters into 
small pieces that are then easily removed without harming the coil 
form itself. It's then a matter of cleaning out the chaff and 
threading a new core in. Of course, you need extra cores!
