If it's an "88" band radio (450-470 MHz) & your target RX freq. is in the 434 MHz range, high-side LO will definitely work. In fact, I would think that low-side LO would be problematic unless the LO helicals were modified. OTOH if this is a 406-420 RX then high-side LO may not work. Bob NO6B
