HF Remote Controllers:
Well - I have a few years experience with that! Linkcomm controllers offer the most experience with this feature. They offer a long history of diversified radios to control, and a long history of controller design. Others will disagree, but there are a LOT of Linkcomm controllers doing their job around the world. A ton of basic frequency agile commands, including fast, medium, and slow scan up and down the band are available. PL frequency, encode, decode, and more are available because the TS2000 runs UHF, VHF, and 6 through 160. I have an RLC Club on a TS-2000, and added more features so I can just about do anything from my portable that I can from the front panel. I programmed the Linkcomm controller with the additional commands listed in the link below. Yes, you read the commands right. I actually turn on the power on the TS-2000 radio with a command. If I don't command or use the radio for one hour, the radio power turns itself off. My TS2000 does not stay powered on 7 x 24. Linkcomm provides a complete Wiki support page with users able to add "gee whiz" TS2000 control features. It can be viewed here: http://link-comm.com/wiki/index.php?title=Remote_Base_Kenwood_TS-2000 That's all the help I can give. Most folks do not believe I'm talking on a UHF handie talkie - the audio is that good. Tell me if you want a demo. I'll fire it up and talk to you anywhere you want.
