Robin, The information on the TRN5324A Squelch Gate Module is in the MSR2000 Control and Audio manual 6881061E40, behind the Remote Control tab. Service Manual Revision SMR-5804 replaced the TRN5324A SGM with the TRN5331B SGM.
The Control and Audio manual is an important document for any MSR2000 owner to have. It is still available from Motorola Parts for about $57, until the stock is depleted. I have sent you the image of the PCB layout directly to your e-mail address. 73, Eric Lemmon WB6FLY -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Robin Midgett Sent: Sunday, February 18, 2007 1:43 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [Repeater-Builder] MSR2000 Squelch Gate Jumpers Hi guys, I'm trying to help our local club configure a MSR2000 for our repeater station. This is my first venture into the MSR2000; my prior but limited experience is with the Micor & MASTRII stations. The MSR2000 we have used to have remote control accessories incorporated into it (guard tone controller & F1 PL control). I've removed those, and configured the jumpers on the back of the control chassis for RA (repeater station) operation per the manual. I'm now trying to locate all the jumpers on the squelch gate card (we have TRN5324APR) so that I can set them as needed. When setting the jumpers on the control chassis, I found it helpful to seek the jumper locations by looking at both the back plane PCB and/or the manual. The manual I posess doesn't have (at least I've not yet found it) a picture of the squelch gate board showing the jumper locations. The locations are marked on the PCB, but it's a jumbled arrangement with some of the text obscured by other parts or a smeared silk screen job. Do any of you know where there's a print of the squelch gate board online I could view? Thanks, Robin Midgett K4IDC VHF+ Glutton EM66se
