Again, I disagree completely. My DJ-G5T HTs all have adjustable CTCSS levels. When I bought them the CTCSS level was a bit high (900-1000 Hz). I suspect they do this in an attempt to compensate for the lack of high-pass audio filtering in the mic amp circuitry, which causes CTCSS talk-off. After turning the CTCSS deviation down to 700 Hz, I've had no problems with talk-off. Still, this along with poor CTCSS decode performance are IMO some of the biggest problems with amateur gear.
