Window filters are nice but not so useful anymore. There's always some person/site nearby transmitting in the receive section of the repeaters (input) band with some type of "temp link" or "remote base" equipment. Many places got real crazy with IRLP and echo link paths.
Gets even more crazy in the commercial bands...
