Normal CSI tp-163 tone panel operation is set up using a computer that has an original rs-232 "comm-port" on the back and a copy of communications program like Procom or Hyper-terminal.
The tp-163 has a d-9 (aka db-9) connector matching the more common d-9 connectors found on recent computers (which still have rs-232 hardware included). You need to find the right software (I like Procom) for your computer. I can send you public domain (free) copy of pcplus if you need it. Keep in mind it runs in dos so you might need a Windows based alternative program and hyperterminal is available on the web (for free). Next you would need to make up the proper rs-232 cable. The manual should explain how... Log into the tp-163 per the manual information. None of the viewing options/menus change anything. Hope that no one has put a password into the log-in screen. cheers, skipp > "ASK ME" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > hello all in the group, thanks to all who replied to my last post got > the software from the csi website.next question how do i put it into > program mode without eraseing the original settings.eg:do i need to > move any jumper settings.thanks with kind regards.laurie >
