Just what I need, another mailing list to follow. I'm having enough
trouble keeping up on my current subscriptions.

For clarification, I don't have any D-Star equipment myself. My interest
as a frequency coordinator is to make sure that new modes get the spectrum
they need.

W.r.t. the co-channel issue you raise, it clearly looks to me to be a
design flaw in the protocol. I doubt that we would consider increasing the
co-channel spacing for D-Star systems beyond that which is used for analog
repeaters. In fact, I'd expect D-Star to be somewhat more tolerant of
on-channel interference because of the error correction.
