Hi Randy,

Can't give you the details of the specific resistor requirements
without knowing more about your specific controller mod... but I
can tell you some tricks to try with the 10K Pots (controls) you
have available.

You can place resistors in series with the pot leads to make
the 10k pot a 25k value with slightly reduced center wiper lead
adjustment range.

If you place one 15k fixed resistor on one of the "outside" pot
leads the control becomes a 25k pot with a wiper travel only
over the 2/5th of it's normal range. If you place the resistor
on one end the 2/5 range is on the low side, the other side the
2/5 range is on the high side.

.... and you can center the pot wiper range by placing two
(equal) 7.5 k resistors (or anything close) on each pot outside
lead. The available 2/5 wiper range will be in the center of
the entire 25k value.

If you get the idea of ratios... placing resistors in series on
the pot solder terminal outside leads in various combinations will
give you the 2/5th (ratio) operation of a regular 25K pot.

Normally in a repeater/base conversion (operation) you only need
final adjustments well within a 2/5th range. So you can have a bit
of free lunch in this example. The only small trick is to figure
out where/how to best select and place the extra fixed resistor(s)
onto the potentiometer outside solder posts/terminals.

cheers,
s.
