Doug, Your SC66RAD66A is fully described in Publication Index PC67, here:
<www.repeater-builder.com/ge/product-code-indexes/index-pc67-mastr-ii-statio ns.pdf> or as a Tiny URL <http://tinyurl.com/2nm9nf> The second "66" in the Combination number indicates that it is designed for 150.5-174 MHz operation. It can be modified to operate in the 2m band, and there are a number of articles on the GE section of the RBTIP that cover this topic. Regarding the daughter board, is there a number stamped on the board? There were so many options offered for this combination, that a module number will make identification much easier. It is probably a tone signaling encoder/decoder, but the number will answer the question. 73, Eric Lemmon WB6FLY -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Doug Sent: Saturday, September 22, 2007 9:58 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [Repeater-Builder] Master II combo I have a Mastr II combo SC66RAD66A equipped with a ER-64-A RX and a KT-48-A TX. The receiver has a daughter board plugged into P904. This board has two IF transformers and a UA239dc comparator plus a few transistors. It also has a feed from the IF. It appears to control the squelch system. The unit was originally used as GMR station. Can anyone tell me anything about this board and should it remain in for ham use, or should it be removed. Thanks Doug VE5DA
