There was some notes I read somewhere that the channel steps on the 220 version was limited and in this country we could not access ALL freq's on 15/20 khz band plans.. just some... I think I read it was 12k5or 10k0 or something like this, and channel stepped which did not match all of our bandplans...I would want to check into it before finding out the hard way..
