Dave,

You might want to watch eBay for the PA, Dave. [Search for both MSF5000 and
MSF10000 - the European version - especially if you're looking at the
European eBay site(s)...] They pop up from time to time... or ask here -
maybe someone has one that is surplus to their needs. Shipping across the
pond might be a bit prohibitive, though. They're not lightweight, for
certain!

But like I said, I think there is a "feedback loop" (for lack of a better
description) in the MSF5000 station that monitors both FWD and REF currents
(or voltages) from the PA, so the station can tell if it's making too much
power, etc. Without the PA connected the processor doesn't see those
signals and gives an error code - or two or three... :-)

I'm learning more and more about this station every day, but I have
"...miles to go before I sleep."

Good luck!

Thanks for the responce Mark....I share your concerns about having
everything connected/terminated. I have trawled through all the files
I can find and whilst some manuals show the interconnections as
lines, none go to core level (unless I've missed them)

The chances of finding the missing componants are slim to say the
least...Oh well never mind I'll have to put the 5000 in
the 'pendingbox' along with the other projects!

Thanks again...........Cheers Dave UZN
