First, give us the model number. It should be stamped
onto a metal sticker on the station junction panel on
the right side of the cabinet. It will be 11 or 12
characters long starting with C. With this info, we
can tailor our diagnostic procedure to your station.

There are two green LEDs on the front panel of the
station that should have RX VCO LOCK and TX VCO LOCK
or something similar near them. Both of these LEDs
need to be on when the station is powered up, after it
finishes its self-tests.

There's a front panel toggle switch that, when pressed
down to the XMIT position, should cause the station to
transmit. With everything connected properly
(including an antenna), press this switch. A bunch of
other green and amber LEDs should also turn on. Any
red LEDs indicate a problem.

Also, the RESET switch must be in its middle position.
If it's raised to the ACC DIS position, the station
won't work (ACCess is DISabled).
