Hi, Do any of you know if a Yaesu FT-857D will operate as a remote base without the control head? The control head of my 857 was stolen from my vehicle last week; just exploring options. If any of you know of a control head that may be available, perhaps from a damaged 857, I'd like to acquire it. Yaesu doesn't sell the control heads separately.
