Nope. Yaesu will not sell it. Their "concern" is apparently that someone would buy one FT-857 and two control heads and move the rig back and forth -- they'd prefer you buy two. This has come up on the FT-857 list on YahooGroups time and time again. The only way to get a spare control head is to buy someone's damaged rig. A dead FT-857 with good control head but dead radio for parts, went for over $350 last year on eBay because someone wanted the control head. Since it has nothing to do with Repeaters, I won't say anything more on this list about it. Nate WY0X
