Toss it in the can. Those transmitters are notorious for being dirty 
anyway (I just heard about yet another one locally that is causing trash 
all over 2M, probably beyond), then to add a lightning hit on to it...it 
WILL cause problems!!!!

Get a Micor or MastrII and make something out of that. Those radios work 
better after 20-30 years then the 'made-for-ham' repeaters do brand new.

And as Jim said-ALWAYS use GOOD double shielded coax in a full-duplex 
in-band application like this.


Also curious why you have those blank white .jpg's attached to your emails?
